Lovely Rooms
The Cherry Tree has only 4 rooms but they are of a very high standard. We ate in the restaurant and the food was delicious and lots of it. The only complaint was that I had booked through late Rooms and wanted a second room for a single person but this was not passed on and they would not take off the £10.00 (even though we had spent over £70 in the restaurant) for single occupancy even though obviously only 1 breakfast was eaten by the occupant and they only used half of the towels etc

Weekend start at The Cherry Tree
We had a pleasant welcome in a delightful pub and could not fault the staff or the accommodation. The dinner and breakfast were first class. Our short stay set us up perfectly for our weekend in Essex.
Only one minor problem with the shower to report, but we were assured this would be checked

Very good
I have this pet theory that I should be able to get a decent (not luxurious) hotel & breakfast for around £50 per night. It doesn't always work out that way, but can be amusing to see what some hoteliers regard as acceptable.
Therefore it came as a pleasant surprise - a bit obliged due to location - to spend a bit more and enjoy something as pleasant as the Cherry Tree. The accommodation is bright and modern, the facilities new and of good quality (no sellotape holding the remote together!) and the people friendly. Good brekky too - didn't get chance to spend any time in the pub or try its food, but it looks comfortable. Recommended.

Impressed
We were impressed at the qulaity of this B&B. We paid £65 and I think we got a "superior" room for this. The rooms are separate from the pub/restaurant, in converted stables each with their own front door. The room was a really good size and nicely decorated, fresh and modern with good furniture and a large bathroom suitable for wheelchair access. The bed was incredibly comfortable, always a plus! The room was of a good, modern 4* hotel quality rather than what I'd expect for a B&B. Breakfast was very tasty and served in the pub restaurant. We had a full English veggie breakfast (incl veg sausages) which was both tasty and nicely presented. We would def recommend this to anyone, and would go again if we wanted to stay in the area. Overall, impressive and excellent value for money!

A lucky choice Just happened
to read reviews of this place on the internet and noticed that a
booking through Laterooms earned a hefty discount for one
reviewer. As a result i reguistered with Laterooms and for the
one night we wanted the Cherry Tree were giving a £25 discount
so that for a double room and breakfast for two we paid £50
instead of £75. First transaction through Laterooms was a
copmplete success - thanks!

done to a very high standard except for bedside lights that make

Good but is it a hotel or a B and B?
Stayed two nights June, discounted price. Have known the place as it has
expanded from a country pub into a restaurant with rooms to let out. Room good ,
maybe needed weather stripping at bottom of doors to stop creepie crawlies from
entering. Very clean, nice bathroom, TV with lots of channels. Comfy bed with
nice furniture. Quiet in a country location but next door to the beer garden
which was not noisy whilst we were on site. (Sunday and Monday). Saw place as a
B and B rather than a hotel. Breakfast well cooked , no menu but we were asked
what we wanted, friendly service. Restaurant on site but nothing special and not
cheap.

Excellent Overnighter
We picked this hotel from LateRooms, looking for good value for a single night
stay in the area, with parking and a decent restaurant. This was very good on
all counts, the room being clean, quiet, and well equipped, the restaurant was
very good for an evening meal, big portions / good quality, pretty busy for a
Thursday night (which enhanced the ambience), and breakfast too was good.
Reception on arrival was 'informal', but very friendly and helpful, staff in the
bar / restaurant were also friendly, helpful, & efficient.

Perfect in every way. Rooms were all fitted out very modern and only 1 year old.
Everything you need in a room ie; tea, coffee shower creme, shampoo etc and plenty
of it unlike some B&B's. Restaurant was excellent but seemed to cater more for
the fish lover. Only fault we could pick up on was the fact that we couldn't
take our 10 year old daughter in the bar after our meal as they don't allow kids
in the bar. But hey, if that's the only fault then that can't be bad can it?

a pub. It has four well appointed rooms built into what looks like a stable
block to the side of the pub. The people were really friendly and the food was
